وزارة التعليم تعلن قواعد الطلاب الوافدين بالمدارس المصرية فقد أرسلت وزارة التربية والتعليم خطابا إلى مديرية التعليمية بشأن تنظيم القواعد الخاصة بقبول الطلاب الوافدين غير المصريين للالتحاق بالمدارس المصرية وشددت الوزارة على مديري المديريات وكذلك الإدارات على ضرورة الالتزام بتطبيق القانون رقم 602 من القرار الوزاري وكذلك رقم 284 لسنة 2014 الخاصة بالقواعد المنظمة الالتحاق الطلبة الوافدين غير المصريين بالمدارس المصرية والاستفادة من المنح الدراسية وذلك على النحو التالي:
- الطلاب الوافدين من الجنسيات المختلفة ينطبق عليهم نص المادة 1 من القرار رقم 284 لسنة 2014 والذي ينص على إلحاق هؤلاء الطلاب بالمدارس الخاصة ولا يجوز إلحاقهم بالمدارس الحكومية.
- أما في حالة الطلاب الوافدين من حملة الجنسيات التي جاء بالمادة رقم 1 من القرار رقم 284 لسنة 2014 لا يعتبر ضمن فئه اللاجئين ويمكن للآباء إلحاق أبنائهم في المدارس الحكومية المصرية مع ضرورة تقديم كافة التصاريح الخاصة بالإقامة بمصر والتي يجب أن تكون سارية المفعول داخل جمهورية مصر العربية.
- أما الطلاب الوافدين الغير المصريين يمكن إلحاقهم في مدارس الحكومية بشكل استثنائي ولكن يشترط تقديم ما يفيد قبولهم.
