Jamaica set to be battered by Hurricane Bery

The report says that powerful Hurricane Pearl is heading toward Jamaica, and there are warnings that it could put at least 3 million children in the Caribbean at risk.

Residents described the hurricane as a massive storm heading towards Jamaica, and that the beaches were in danger. However, some people like Nadine decided to stay in their homes until they had no other choice.

A curfew was imposed across the island, and streets that would normally be crowded were empty. Residents noted that the last time a hurricane struck Jamaica with such ferocity was decades ago. They expressed concern that the hurricane might destroy infrastructure and property, and that they would stay to protect their property.

The report indicated that the hurricane has already caused devastation and losses in the eastern Caribbean islands, and that it is one of the most powerful hurricanes at this time of year, indicating that rising ocean temperatures are causing such extreme weather events to appear more frequently and more dangerous.
